In the two final weeks of June all MDEF (thesis) projects including installations, workshops, prototypes and tastings were presented in several locations in Barcelona.
In the weeks leading up to the event we worked on selecting the venues and preparing artifacts and materials for the exhibitions. Throughout the city several events took place varying from eco-interactive installations to art performances, technical displays and workshops.
As nine-headed collective of classmates working on food-related projects Angel, Audrey, George, Gerda, José, Julia, Paula, Vikrant and I approached Ivan and Ares with the idea to host a two-day event focussed on refiguring foods and food narratives.
Within Conserve project Lemna was installed as pop-up stand explaining the process and result leading to the sensor devices, agricopter, growing stand and dishes in which the water lentils were integrated together with fermented vegetables, beef and kimchi.
